W. A. Young’s Foundry and Machine Shop
Built in 1900 at Rice’s Landing, PA, the shop serviced steamboats on the Monongahela River for over sixty years.  The owners left the shop intact with tools and all when it closed.  The restoration continues.

Where we are…..

The ABA covers a wide area in the Appalachian region. Centered around WV, our membership includes folks from Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and  Maryland.

We maintain a shared, teaching oriented shop in Partnership with Cedar Lakes Conference Center. The shop serves as our base for Spring and Fall Conferences.
